Bash My Skull and Hope for Flowers

A burial is not always an ending.
Sometimes it is the beginning of the garden.

Bash my skull and hope for flowers

Bury me six feet in daisies and roses, and pray for trees to grow;
Touch the wood, the newly formed shell
Watch the birds eat the sap off the branches
I beg you to bash my skull, as we hope for flowers
Scream out my name I ask, for the tree that will replace me

My reinvention
Honey dripping on my hair
Sweet smell of daisies and roses

They saw the end of me
“taken from us too soon”
They weep
While I wave

The final goodbye
